Focus - Complete daily, turn in each three weeks. Major grade, counts 6x (1 grade per week).
Letter to Parents and Equipment Use (signed), Student Data, (signed) Procedures Packet (signed), and Introduction Survey - All four together...grade counts 1x.
Class Equipment and Supplies - Most items due with in three weeks. Grade counts 1x. Do NOT bring to class until your class locker is assigned.
Magazine Assignment - two examples from a magazine, due each 6 weeks. Grade counts1x.
Autobiography - Rough draft due 9/10 , when you walk into class. Use Outline Sheet for planning to write rough draft. Autobiography will typed into the computer. Your picture that was taken in class will be inserted into the letter. Grade counts 2x.
Lab Safety - Complete brief tour and orientation of the facility. If absent for the class lesson, you will need to summarize each of the items on the safety sheet. Signed contract counts 1x.
Fill The Frame - Painting Project - Rough draft due , when you walk into class. As time permits each day, and on designated computer days, work up examples. Best one to be turned in for a grade at end of the 6 weeks. Grade counts 2x.
Photogram - 1 8x10 turned in a Sheet Protector. Rough draft and personal items count 15 points of this grade (10 points for the items, 5 points for the rough draft) and are due when you walk into class. You will have two days in the darkroom tom complete your assignment. Final 8x10 will be due . Grade counts 2x.
Vocabulary - Define terms each day. Study the vocab page for your 6 weeks test each 6 weeks. 6 Wks Test Grade, counts 1x.
Major Test for the 6 weeks: Daily Focus Items, Vocabulary (those appearing on the focus), Enlarger Parts, Chemical Processing
3 Week Interim Progress Report Grading Details:
There will be 3 grades factoring in to generate a progress report. A zero and less than a 100 in any other could result in less than a 70. Most project grades come in at the end of the 6 weeks...with the exception of a couple of grades at the beginning of the 6 weeks to help substantiate the need for a progress report. For these early assignments, I will accept the work late, usually for a 70...but a temporary failing grade has to be recorded until the work is turned in. For some in progress projects, the grade is recorded based on the completion of the rough draft. This may result in a low grade being recorded temporarily. All 6 weeks projects can be turned in by the end of the grading period for full credit.

Career Assessment - complete all three tests. Finish in spare time or at home.
Introduction to Procedures - discussion of class rules and operation
Impact of Photography, Media, etc. on you and your surroundings - review the discussion on the link for new students for a recap of what was discussed the first two weeks of school.
