Meet with your Group 3. Any dissenters must decide today. You MUST take an active roll in your group...or do your own video.
Please continue your Video Model (except today) - please check here daily for announcements and other important details.
Final version of your video 1 and 2 will be due in time for the EOY contest, May 6th. You need to be able to enter both your individual and your team video.
Please delete your exported video 1 and 2 from your personal P drives once you have copied them to the public server: \\Wbphoto\public\Video\Video Production\0910 Videos
Monday, 5/3 - Friday, 5/7
Objective: > Discuss Contest, our EOYC and Photo Finale > Upload Pictures to your Picasa Web > Work with Photo Montage/Collage examples.

ALL EQUIPMENT (Mac Computers, Tripods, etc.) and IOUs must be resolved by Tuesday, May 10th. Debt list will be generated. Make sure I am going to be here when you bring in the computers. ALL debts (damaged equipment and IOUs also) need to be cleared ASAP.
Continue work on Picasa Web Gallery. Make sure you Picasa Web Gallery has a place for your deviations...and put something in it.
Tuesday: Group planning. Specifically, discuss how you all, or as many of you as possible, can be present for filming. The WHOLE idea of V3 is the TEAM production. I never shoot alone at Weddings and Portraits. Aimee plays a vital part of my ability to capture a wedding. I CAN do it alone, but it is not nearly as good of a job. With video, there is even more going on. The whole purpose was to have at least 1 camera operator, one director, and one sound person. I said you all might need to split up the recording, but I also said to have as many people present as possible. All of you all splitting up and recording individual segments is completely the opposite of what V3 is supposed to be all about. If you all can not get it together AFTER school, then you all should have planned something to be done during school hours. In fact, I have amended the planning of V3 for next year to HIGHLY recommend that V3 filming be completed AT SCHOOL...with after school filming to be the EXCEPTION.
Also, be sure to check your email for two emails regarding V3...and a request for feedback regarding all of the video production and the class in general. I mentioned in the email that you would score your team...but I forgot that last year I removed the grade your PEER, which I didn't like (for reasons discussed in the email). There is a part for you to document if somebody did not do their part.

Monday: Set up show in Library and Display Cases
Winning Contest Entries: Please send your stuff ASAP via Syncrhoneyes!! Put in the file name the title and what it won.

Discuss Rights, Permissions, & Releases
Continue work on your Encore DVD Production. Launch the program...and figure out what to do...it's not hard.
Submit any files via Synchroneyes that you would like included in various media publications, etc.
Always be working on something class related. This is not a request...it is a class instruction...work all the way to the very end. If you finish with everything...work on something else of interest and related to class.
Wednesday:
Web Galleries: Many of your galleries have not been updated since March. Please update them NOW. I will be taking a final assessment of your Picasa Web Galleries. After school is over, please continue to update pictures from time to time. Put your best stuff up.

Week of Monday, May 18th
Get your Video 3 footage edited ASAP. While your editor is working on editing this final video, the rest of you please get your Encore DVD production of Video 1 and 2 and Extras (Photostory, Photos, etc.) Please do not waste any time. Everybody has something to do until the DVDs are burned. Please make a quick DVD Cover for your burned DVD: Photoshop Document Setup: 7.125 w x10.5 h, 200 DPI.
When you Encore DVD is done, get it burned! Be sure to follow the steps on the video production. Be sure to add an extra of your photos...a DVD only.
Please do not just sit and do nothing. When you are done with your DVD...please continue work on Picasa Web Gallery making the best gallery you for future years to be able to browse, etc...even if you do not intend to continue using Picasa, it will remain long after you are gone...it is your legacy...your mark to leave behind the lasting impression...your opportunity to make a difference. :)
If planning on exempting your final, please keep in mind that all projects must be completed before you exempt your exam. Please plan to work on your projects as time permits in other classes if necessary.
Please turn in Photo Finale Entry Fees.
Seniors: This is going to be a very tight finish. Your last class day is Wednesday, May 27. So, you MUST be done with everything on Tuesday, May 26th (Wednesday is your test...and it will take most of the class). If you are exempting...then Friday, May 22nd is technically your last day in this class. Please note...your class days are being chopped...but you must still complete your work. Mr. Daniels has given many of you 2 less days of school. Don't blow it. You have PLENTY of time to do NOTHING in just 2 weeks. Technically, if you do not finish your DVD and V3, then you can't exempt.

Week of Monday, May 24 and June 1st
I need to see Video 3 Footage...and the progress of the editing. Seniors, please work together to see that this gets finished ASAP as I will need to asses your grade sooner than the underclass folks. A large % of your V3 grade will come from your group assessment. Make sure you have done/are doing your part. Please work together. Please work to get this project and all of your other projects finished (editing on 1, 2 and 3) DVD, DVD cover for your DVD and Case.
Ok seniors don't start your first few says of the real world being a slacker. I warned you that time was short yet I have seen very few of you this past week in here getting your stuff done. Perhaps you have been working on stuff at home or outside of this class. I am not trying to be cruel, but even if you are officially done with the class, get your stuff in so I can record good grades for all of your projects. And, if you are planning on exempting, you need to be all in!

(not active yet) I will not know who wrote what, so be honest...but please be serious. :) It does show me the emails of who completed but it is not attached to the survey (after a certain number have completed...to help anonymity) so use your real email...and I will give you 5 points on a project grade. Of course, you can put your name in a field if you would like me to know who wrote what. Or, you can use an anonymous email...but I will not be able to give you your bonus points. Also, if your email does include your name, then please drop me an email or a hand written note on what email I should be looking for from you. The survey needs to be completed by next Wednesday...you can even start and pause a survey (I think)...but don't "Submit" until you have completed the survey. Please only submit once.
